今週はゴンさんことイ・ヨンゴンさんです。

The guest for this week is Lee Young Geun.

Beppaer: それでは自己紹介をお願いします。

ゴン: 韓国の釜山出身のイ・ヨンゴンです。友達からはゴンと呼ばれています。今は4回生です。

Beppaper: Please introduce yourself!

Geun: I am Lee Young Geun from Busan. I am 4th year and Everybody calls me Geun.

B: 日本語お上手ですね！4回生ということは兵役は終わったんですか？

ゴ: はい。とても大変でした(笑) ２年間陸軍に入隊していましたが、訓練ばかりの毎日でした。

B: You are so good at Japanese! So you finished your military service in South Korea?

G: Yes I did. I was in the army for 2 years but I spent really challenging days everyday.

B: 兵役は本当に大変そうですよね...。読者のみなさんも気になると思うんですが、実際兵役ってどんなことをするんですか？？

ゴ: 良く聞かれます(笑)　一番きつかったのは100キロメートルを20キロの重りを持って1泊2日で歩く訓練です。本当に地獄でした。訓練以外には、ひたすら北朝鮮は悪い！！ということを学ぶ授業もありました。

B: Yeah I cannot even imagine how hard that is. So, what did you actually do in the military service?

G: So many people ask me that question!haha. The hardest one I have done there was to walk 100km with 20kg stuff with me. It took 2days to finish. It was like a hell. We also learned how North Korea is a bad country.

B: なんか太平洋戦争以前の日本みたいですね...。兵役の中で一番心に残ったエピソードを教えて下さい！！

ゴ: 軍隊は小隊ごとにルールがあるんですが、私が所属していたところでは、一等兵以下はラーメンは食べてはいけないルールがありました。本当にバカバカしいですよね(笑)　

なので後輩とルールを無視してラーメンを食べに行ったんですが...最悪なことに先輩がいてバレてしまいました。そのあと隊員全員の前でかなり厳しく怒られました...詳しくは言えません...

B: Wow,,, it sounds like the Japanese military before the pacific war… What is the most memorable moment in the military service?

G: So every group in the military has their own rules. In our group, the Kohais are prohibited to eat ramen LOL. Well, I went to eat Ramen one time but I found my Senpai in the ramen place and we got punishment,,,, I cannot even say what the punishment was…..

B: き、気になる！！！APU生は友達が兵役に行ったりするので他の日本人より兵役が身近ですが想像以上に大変そうです...APU生としてしっかりとした配慮も大切です。

次にAPUに来た理由を教えて下さい！！

ゴ: 最初は日本に良いイメージも持っていませんでした...笑　ですが、小学校の時に大阪に旅行した時に、日本人が本当に優しくて考えが一変しました。そこから日本が大好きになって、日本の大学に行きたい！！と考えるようになりました。そんな中、友達から日本に韓国にない国際大学があると聞いてAPUを知り、入学しました。

B: In APU, it is kind of normal to see Korean guys go to the military service but that sounds really really hard to be in the military.. By the way, how come you came to APU?

G: I didn't have good image of Japan before I came here. However, when I was in the elementary school, I went to Osaka and I found out that Japanese people are amazingly kind so I changed my way of seeing Japanese people. One of my friends told me that there is an international university in Japan called APU and I became to know about APU.

B: 私もAPUに来て韓国人のイメージがかなり変わりました！本当に韓国人はいい人ばかりですよね！！文句言うなら、直接話してみろ！！って本当に思います。

APUではどんな活動をしていますか？

ゴ: 一番の思い出は、サマーキャンプのTAです。

20人中5人しか国際生がおらず、その時は日本語もまだまだ話せない時で毎日がストレスとの戦いでした。しかし、何事にもしっかり準備をしたり、他の人の意見を尊重したりするところがまるで日本の企業にいるようで、日本社会の疑似体験でした。この経験は日本で就職した後に役に立つと思います。メンバーとも今でも本当に仲が良く家族のような存在です。

B: Yeah I have the same feeling. I have good image on Korean people right now but I didn't before I came to APU. What activities do you join in APU?

G: I did many things but the best one was Summer Camp TA. Only 5 out of 20 of us were international students and it was really hard for me to speak in Japanese at that time. I was stressed so many times but I thought it was like experiencing the work in the Japanese companies. So I think this TA experience took a really important role during my job hunting. Also the TA members are still good friends like a family.

B: 同じアジアでも、日本人と韓国人は性格が違うところも多いですよね。特に韓国のカップルのキャンパスでのイチャイチャ具合は目のやり場に困ります（笑）ちなみにゴンさんは彼女はいますか？？

ゴ: 4年間できませんでした...復学した時に先輩から、復学して最初のセメスターに彼女ができなかったら、APUでは彼女はできないという都市伝説を聞いていたんですが...今の私がその生きる証拠です（笑）今は就活がこ・い・び・とです♡早く別れたい...泣

B: I feel like the Korean Couples are always together, wearing same clothes and everything,,,,lol do you have a girl friend?

G: I did not have any in my whole APU life,,,,My senpai told me if I do not get any girl friends in the first semester after the military service, I will not get any girl friends after that. It was true LOL so, job hunting is my sweet honey right now.

B: 韓国人もそんな伝説があるんですね...韓国人の皆さんお気を付けて...
