Be@Beppuって何！？

遅くなりましたが皆さん、あけましておめでとうございます！

Happy New Year everybody!!!

最近APUのコープのレジ近くに置いてあるピンクの本のことです！（是非実際に見てみてね！）

Do you know Be@Beppu?? It is the book sold next to the register in APU COOP.

Be@Beppuは別府に来る外国人用のガイドブックです。英語と韓国語で書かれているので、外国人のみならず、英語、韓国語を勉強している日本人にもオススメ！！

今回はこの本を作った人がどんな人なのか？またBE@BEPPUの出版までの道のりについて、インタビューしてきました！

Be@Beppu is the 1st Beppu guide book written by English and Korean. We, Beppaper member interviewed the author of this book this time! 

編集部：こんにちは！今日はよろしくお願いします！まずは自己紹介からお願いします！

アッキーさん：Be@Beppuを作った秋光伸次です！ニックネームは「アッキー」か「王子」と呼ばれています！

編：王子、、、！？どうして王子なんですか？？

ア：昔、劇団四季とサンリオピューロランドで踊っていた頃ファンの方にそう呼んでもらっていました！

編：劇団四季にサンリオピューロランド！？びっくりです！ 

ア：当時はファンクラブがあったりDVDも出させてもらったりしていました！

Beppaper: Hello! Please introduce your self.

Akkey: I am Shinji Akimitsu. My nicknames are “Akkey” or “Prince”

B: Wow…. Why Prince??

A: When I was working in the famous musical called Shiki and Kitty land in Tokyo, my Fans were callikng me Prince!

B: Really!? This is my first time to meet a person who is from Shiki and Kitty Land!

A: I used to have my own Fan Club and DVDs!!!

編：す。すごい、、王子というニックネームにも納得ですね、、！

　　では次にBe＠Beppu出版までの道のりについて教えてください！どうして出版しようと思ったのですか？

ア：自分自身が別府出身で、東京で働いていた時に別府が恋しくなることがありました。特に温泉は東京だったら銭湯1000円ととても高価で、100円で温泉に入れる別府がとても恋しかったです。別府温泉のよさをもっと伝えたい！と思いこの本を作ることを決めました。別府には年間140万人程の外国人が来ているのに今まで外国語の別府の本が今まで売られていなかった。だから英語のガイドブックを作りました！

B: Now I understand why you are called Prince. That’s amazing!! By the way, why did you decide to publish Be@Beppu??

A: When I was working in Tokyo, I often missed my home town Beppu. Especially when I paying my 1,000yen to the public bath there, I always thought if it was in Beppu, it cost only 100yen…. Because of that experience, I decided to create my book! At the same time, even though there are over 1 million foreigners who come to Beppu , there are no beppu guide books written in English. That’s also a big reason. 

編：なるほど～！！アッキーさんの熱い思いありがとうございました！ところでこの表紙のぬいぐるみは何ですか、、、？

ア：この子は“べっぴょん“です。（笑）

編：べっぴょん！？　なんでべっぴょんがBe＠Beppuに！？？（笑）

ア： ZIPの犬を連れて町を紹介するコーナーのように、べっぴょんと2人で別府を案内しています。

　編：しっかりとした理由があったんですね！この本を出版する上でこだわった点はありますか？

ア：自分がした体験を、できるだけ忠実に伝えれるようにしています。読者の体験した事ないけど、どうなんだろう？という疑問を、ストーリ性をもって解決できるようにしています！

B: I see…. I didn’t know there are no guide books written in English!! By the way, what is this rabbit ???

A: This is Beppyon!!! The official Beppu character!

B: Ah, I know Beppyon!! But why is it with you??

A: I introduce Beppu with beppyon! It’s like the TV program from ZIP!

B: Anything special about this book??

A: I am trying to explain the experiences I actually did. And also I am trying to answer the questions which readers might have with my own stories! 

編：Be@Beppuには51の温泉とたくさんの観光名所にアッキーさんとべっぴょんが載っていますが撮影にどのくらいの期間がかかったんですか？

ア：期間は１年くらいですね！

編：撮影で一番大変だったことは何ですか？

ア：すごい寒がりなのでp39のひょうたん温泉の露天風呂での撮影と、p47の健康保養ランドでの撮影は寒くて大変でした。季節との戦いですね、、（笑）　あと杉の井ホテルでの撮影は８月の暑い日でしたが、このピンクのパーカーを着たので大変でした。

B: How long did it take to shoot all the pictures??

A: Around 1year!

B: What was the most difficult thing you had when you were making this book??

A: The shooting in Hyoutan Onsen and Kenkou Hoyou Land was hard since it was shoot on the very cold day… on the other hand, the shooting of Suginoi Hotel was also tireing because it was really hot and I had to wear my hoodie…

編：確かに、、衣装へのこだわりがある分大変だったんですね。アッキーさんが別府で好きなところはどこですか？

ア：むし湯！

むし湯は汗をかくので毒素や邪念も全部排出されて、身も心も整う気がします。意外とネガティブだから嫌な事があったときリセットされますね。ファミコンでキャラが死んじゃったときにリセットされるみたいな、、、（笑）

編：な、なるほど、、むし湯確かに気持ちいいですよね～！温泉以外のオススメ観光地はどこですか？

B: I can imagine how hard it is… Where is your favorite place in Beppu??

A: Steam Onsen in Kannnawa! If you go to steam onsen, you will sweat a lot that I feel like all my toxin and the bad memories go away with it!!! I am a negative person so I feel like I can reset everything! Hahaha

B: I see,,, I should try that next time! Anything you recommend other than Onsen?

ア：岡本屋のぷりんはいつ食べてもおいしいですね！プリンアイスもおいしいです！プリンを越えてます！看板犬もかわいいですね〜〜〜！

編：岡本屋のプリンはAPU生の中でも有名ですがプリンアイスは初耳でした！今度必ず食べてみます！今日は本当にありがとうございました！

ア：ありがとうございました！

A: The pudding in Okamotoya is Awesome!!! The ice cream Pudding is also yummy!

B: I didn’t know about the ice cream!! I better try it next time!! Thank you very much for today!!!

とってもユーモアにあふれていながら別府への情熱は人一倍のアッキーさんでした！
